Mayor Eartha Cummings
Welcome to the City of Tennille’s website and, more importantly, our town. Whether you are a resident, a business owner, a visitor, or thinking of making Tennille your home, we are here to provide you with outstanding municipal services, a vital part of any great community’s quality of life. We take pride in being a warm and inviting community with an excellent quality of life.
Our city is filled with proud and caring citizens who hold a deep love for this community and I thank them wholeheartedly for electing me as their Mayor. It is my mission to act with integrity, compassion, and a deep sense of pride in our community as I face the challenges ahead of me. Tennille is a growing diverse community with a future that continues to burn brightly and I look forward to the accomplishments we can achieve together.
We are a small town with a large sense of community. We are praised for the attributes of a small town atmosphere, yet we welcome opportunities to accommodate new growth, and seek new ideas from residents, business partners and visitors. Our hard working and dedicated citizens strive every day to make Tennille a better place to live, work, and play. We are a community that embraces our past but is building for the future. Tennille is a town with a fascinating history, wonderful churches, and historic places.
We boast in the pleasure of having an outstanding police department with state of the art equipment, top-notch volunteer fire department, dedicated office and public works staff working to ensure our safety and to provide excellent customer service. The city council is focused, progressive and constantly asking themselves how they can improve the quality of life of those they represent. Please know that whether you are a first time visitor, an old acquaintance returning home, or a lifelong resident, Tennille welcomes you with open arms. We do so because we know it is only with your support that Tennille can stay on the move.
We want you to feel welcome the minute you come to our community. A positive attitude is contagious and we want both citizens and visitors alike to feel the optimism and hospitality of one of the friendliest cities in Georgia.
The future is NOW and I hope you will join me on this journey.
Eartha T. Cummings,
