Downtown Development Authority

The City of Tennille DDA was established in 2007 with the purposes of:

• Revitalize and redevelop the central business district of Tennille,
• Develop and promote for the public good and general welfare: trade, commerce, industry, and employment opportunities
• Promote the general welfare of Georgia by creating a climate favorable to the location of new industry, trade and commerce
• Develop existing industry, trade, and commerce within Tennille

The Tennille DDA meets the 4th Monday of each month at 12 noon at Tennille City Hall.  The public is welcome to attend.

The Tennille DDA sponsors the following events:

• The Greater Tennille Golf Classic in August
• The Kaolin Festival Street Dance in downtown Tennille, currently scheduled for October 8, 2011
• The 5th Annual Tennille BBQ Blast, currently scheduled for October 14 and 15, 2011
